You know that little voice inside of you—the one that’s always telling you not to run the red light or not to call him back or, “You know you shouldn’t be eating that!” It’s the one that keeps you safe and makes you stop right before making a bad decision (not to be confused with your inner critic).

Well, as I grow more into myself and the last part of my 30s, I’m beginning to trust that voice a whole lot more. It’s usually right (darn it!), so now I like to think of it as an inner mother of sorts as I navigate the world through a million every day decisions that compound into the totality of my life at the present moment. In other words, who I am right now and what my life is comprised of is just the result of a million different decisions I have made in the past leading up to this moment in time.

Knowing that, if I could go back in time and give my younger self some advice, I would say, “Markette, cultivate trust in yourself and that inner voice. Your instincts, those gut feelings, will not steer you wrong!” It’s called intuition.

If you are on a path of learning to trust more in yourself and looking for advice, watch this video below, which I produced and personally curated for the glow girl nation. Watch it now everyday to begin cultivating more trust in yourself.
