OK, it’s been a few weeks now of living off the cans of food we’ve all stocked up on since the start of the pandemic. But “Stay at Home” doesn’t have to be a canned experience.

Take this time to detox with the one’s you love with my favorite green smoothie recipe. This smoothie will help cleanse and restore your body with vitamins and minerals, as each of the ingredients are considered to be superfoods, like spinach, ginger and tumeric.

Watch me show you how to make a green smoothie batch with my son and get the recipe below! Markette Sheppard

My Green Smoothie Recipe:

Ingredients:
2 cups of coconut water
2 cups of fresh spinach or kale
1 heaping cup of fresh pineapple
1 heaping cup of frozen Mango (for icy cool slushy taste and texture)
Pinch of turmeric or to taste
Pinch of finely chopped fresh ginger or to taste

Directions:
Place 2 cups of coconut water in a large blender with 2 cups of leafy greens. Cover with lid. Blend until a minced green mixture (careful not to blended too long or you will have extra froth). Open blender and add pineapple, turmeric and ginger. Cover with lid. Blend until pineapple is partially minced into mixture. Open blender and add frozen mango. Cover with lid. Blend on ice crush setting until mango and pineapple are fully minced and you have a nice smooth smoothie (with no chunks)!

Pour a serving for you and the ones you love and enjoy!
