It’s Sherri Shepherd‘s birthday (happy birthday, girl!) So today I thought I’d introduce you to the person who makes her shine, her celebrity makeup artist Rodney Jon. He has also been the makeup artist for dozens of other celebrities, including Angela Bassett and Vanessa Simmons. See the beauty on full blast below!
I recently found out what sets him apart when I had my makeup done by him for the production of one of my children’s books that is being adapted to TV (more about this exciting new project in a future post!).
When Rodney first meets you, he takes a moment to get to know you. He asked me, “How do you want to feel today?” He also asks to see your planned wardrobe and then he builds his look upon your response. This is called mindfulness makeup and I firmly believe that when you look good, you feel good and do good.
