The season of romance is blooming on the Lifetime channel! The network is airing two new swoon-worthy originals by Terry McMillan.
The award-winning author is teaming up with Lifetime to executive produce a collection of movies under the banner Terry McMillan Presents. Fans and romantic film lovers who crave heartfelt stories are in for a soul feeding treat.
This isn’t McMillan’s first time creating viewable content. She’s well known for adapting her novels How Stella Got Her Groove Back and Waiting to Exhale into successful big screen films.
Her new love stories provide romance-filled gems, focused on the authentic love and lives of African American women. The original movies are also part of Lifetime’s 40th anniversary.
The first movie to debut under Terry McMillan Presents is Tempted by Love. The film stars Executive Producer Garcelle Beauvais, Vaughn W. Hebron, Lela Rochon, Emmy-winner Loretta Devine, and Donna Biscoe.
Tempted By Love is about Ava (Beauvais), a world-class renowned chef who returns to South Carolina to care for her elderly aunt (Biscoe) and forms a passionate connection with Luke (Hebron), a much younger driver.

The next movie to air in the collection is Terry McMillan Presents: Forever. The film stars Taye Diggs and Meagan Good. Johnnie (Diggs) returns home after a tour of military service and finds unexpected love for the local policewoman Carlie (Good), who has a challenging family dynamic.
