The Gossip Girl alum and her husband Ryan Reynolds (whom she met on the set of Green Lantern) have pledged to donate up to $1 million to aid Ukranian refugees. Blake Lively made the announcement on her social media by posting this: “[Ryan] and I are doubling every dollar donated to @usaforunhcr up to $1,000,000.”

As of today, more than 500,000 Ukranian residents have fled the country after Russia invaded the Ukraine and launched military aggression on the Ukranian people last week, according to CNN.

Lively, in true Glow Girl form, is asking her fans to make donations through the United Nations Refugee Agency website, which she and Reynolds will match up to the first seven figures.
