Captain America Flies to No. 1

Ahhhh sookie sookie now, looks like the first avenger took the top spot again! Captain America: Brave New World just dominated the box office soaring straight to No. 1 over the holiday weekend.

That’s right, the stars and stripes are back and Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson) is making history as the first Black on-screen Captain America. Fans packed theaters to witness the action, the legacy and epic performances in the next chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Sam Wilson is officially suited, booted, and ready to lead, bringing heart, grit, and heroism to the shield like never before. Mackie’s portrayal of Sam Wilson is compelling, relatable and captures the essence of a hero grappling with newfound responsibilities.

Then there’s Harrison Ford stepping into the MCU as President Thaddeus Ross. Harrison adds major weight to the political tension with his trademark presence and commanding ease.

The entire cast brings their A-game, blending high-stakes action with powerful storytelling. This isn’t just another Marvel movie, it’s a moment—and the best part? This is the first of three Marvel movies dropping this year so buckle up, MCU fans!
