Misty Copeland Is Giving Monday Motivation

Who here has had a breakout success later in life?

“There were times that I was not cast in certain roles because I would stand out too much and kind of ruin the aesthetic, especially if it was a performance that was being filmed,” said Misty Copeland, 41, in a CNN Interview.

In 2015, at the age of 32, Copeland made history, becoming the first African-American woman to be a principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre, one of the most prestigious and well-renowned dance companies in the world.

The late, great Prince changed Misty’s life when he invited her to dance with him on tour for over a year.

Know that you can…

Start at any age, even after 30

Be around the wrong people and feel like you’re going nowhere…

Find the right opportunity

And still succeed and be at your peak after 40.
