Scarlett Johansson wins…

We love a David vs. Goliath story, and that’s exactly what this was when Scarlett Johansson filed a lawsuit against the media giant Disney for breaching their contract.

Scarlett was guaranteed an exclusive theatrical release for her film, “Black Widow“; a large part of her salary was supposed to be based on box office performance. When the film debuted in theaters, it was also released on Disney’s streaming service (Disney+); this move breached her contract. We applaud her for using her voice, standing up for herself, and not backing down; she truly is a superhero.

Raking in $379,171,045, her film Black Widow stands firm as the 6th highest-grossing film of 2021. The lawsuit has now been settled & both parties are looking to working together in the future. Be on the lookout for their (Disney & Johansson) upcoming project, Tower of Terror.
