STARTS MOTHER’S DAY
MAY 9 – JUNE 22, 2021

Emmy award-winning journalist and author Janus Adams hosts the Sister Days Mother/Daughter Book Club, a timely, life-affirming, leadership-building, intergenerational virtual retreat for mothers, daughters, sisters and sister-friends.

This 6-week virtual gathering is based on Adams’ critically-acclaimed book, Sister Days: 365 Inspired Moments in African American Women’s History. Learn more about Sister Days and why you should gift your mom (and yourself) a Sister Days Book Club membership today!

From May 10 through June 22, 2021 connect with women virtually everywhere to read and discuss the inspiring stories from Adams’ book, Sister Days: 365 Inspired Moments in African American Women’s History. You will be able to share your thoughts, ask questions and go behind-the-scenes of Adams’ travels to research and collect the remarkable little-known stories in this “book of life”—the lives of Black women from across the globe over more than five centuries.

MEMBERSHIP INCLUDES:
THE SISTER DAYS BOOK

6 WEEKLY MENTAL FEASTS
The first known book club was founded by African American women in 1831.  Calling their gatherings “mental feasts,” they blazed trails for literature and leadership. The Sister Days Book Club virtual “mental feasts” will meet Saturdays at 12 noon ET from May 15-June 19, Juneteenth. On the menu: good company, great conversations about the week’s readings, and a chance for you to be a special guest co-host on Janus’ radio show!
