A Breakthrough Might Be Coming

Have you ever noticed that right before a breakthrough (a real, life-shifting breakthrough), things start to feel a little… chaotic? The situation gets a little crazy. People get a little crazy. Or is it just me?

I’ve seen it happen enough times to know it’s not just in my head. That energy, tension, and confusion? They’re all part of the shift. But here’s the wild part: when you’re right in the middle of that mess, it’s so easy to miss what’s going on. You don’t think, “Oh, I must be on the verge of something beautiful.” No. You’re just trying to survive the moment.

🔁 Learning to Act Instead of React

I can recognize that kind of chaos when it’s internal—emotional, spiritual, mental. But when it comes to people? When it comes to the actions of others? That’s where I still struggle. People are unpredictable, and it’s hard to stay grounded when someone else’s storm affects your peace.

But here’s what I’ve learned through recovery: we always have a choice. We can act, or we can react. Learning the difference has been one of my biggest glow-ups.

💫 Embracing Loneliness and the Power of Singleness

I’ve come to value the seasons of loneliness.
Yeah, I said it. Loneliness. Singleness. Solitude. All of it.

Because that’s when you meet yourself. That’s when you figure out what you like, what you need, and who you are—without the noise of other people’s opinions or expectations.

Listen, I know somebody out there just rolled their eyes at me. It’s okay. I used to be you. I was you, and I didn’t even realize it.

😵‍💫 Relationship Anxiety

I debated whether to write this. I wasn’t sure if anyone needed to hear it, but here we are—because I needed to say it.

I freaked out recently. Found myself in a relationship, and I had a whole mini internal panic. The old me would’ve just stayed in the spiral. But this time? I paused. Because in recovery, one of the first things they tell you is: don’t date for a year. Stay single. Learn yourself. Someone once said, “Keep a houseplant alive before you try to keep a relationship alive.” And listen, I’ve killed a cactus before, so…

🌱 Your Breakthrough Is on the Way

But the truth is—they say that for a reason. When you’ve been through it (addiction, heartbreak, trauma), you’ve got to rebuild your foundation before you invite someone else to live in your house. You’ve got to glow from the inside out.

So, if things feel a little messy right now—if people are acting wild, if situations are falling apart—maybe it’s not a breakdown. Maybe it’s a breakthrough.

And maybe, just maybe, you’re on the edge of your glow-up.

Hold on.
Stay still.
Keep your peace.
The glow-up is coming.
