Hocus Pocus 2 brings in a ‘Gossip Girl’

Actress Whitney Peak, 19, who is known for playing Zoya in the Gossip Girl reboot, brings new magic to the all-star cast of Hocus Focus 2 as Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy reprise their roles as the Sanderson Sisters in the 2022 remake.

Peak was born in Kampala, Uganda and moved to Canada when she was 10. This is not her first rodeo in the realm of movie magic. Peak also starred in the Netflix version of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, called Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which ran for two seasons.

Back to the Halloween classic that has been creating haunting laughter for nearly 20 years: adding to the strong female leads in this film is the dynamic woman power happening behind the scenes. Hocus Pocus 2 is written by Jen D’Angelo and directed by Ann Fletcher.

“Lock up your children! Salem we’re back,” says Bette Midler as Winifred Sanderson.

The sequel centers around three young women accidentally bring back the Sanderson Sisters to modern day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking havoc on the world.

Hocus Pocus 2 streams on Disney+ starting September 30.
