Today we’re sipping on Cheryl’s Cranberry Fizz featuring Betty Buzz. Inspired by the cosmopolitan, this citrusy delight is packed with Vitamin C and antioxidants. The recipe is an homage to the Glow fam’s very own Cheryl Grant. This divine mocktail is elegant and classy with a twist reminiscent of our favorite Glow Girl. We’re so thankful for her and all of her click-worthy entertaining content. Let’s raise a glass and toast to Cheryl with this beautifully handmade Cranberry Fizz.

Cheryl G’s Cranberry Fizz

  • 1 1/2 oz. Orange Juice
  • 9 oz. bottle Betty Buzz Sparkling Grapefruit
  • 1/8 tsp. Vanilla Extract (alcohol-free options are available)
  • 3 tbsp. Simple Syrup (recipe here)
  • 1 c. Cranberry Relish

Directions

  1. Add simple syrup and vanilla to a shaker.
  2. Add cranberry relish or fresh/frozen Cranberries.
  3. Muddle to desired consistency.
  4. Add orange juice and ice, and give it a quick, firm shake.
  5. Strain into highball glasses over fresh ice.
  6. Top with Betty Buzz.
  7. Garnish with orange wheels or wedges.

Variation: add 3 oz Tito’s Vodka

I used a simple three-ingredient cranberry relish as a base (see recipe below). It’s a staple in my home during the holidays or whenever I come across fresh or frozen cranberries at my local grocer. It pairs well with poultry and is delicious with pork. Add it to smoothies, or mix it with yogurt. However, the relish is optional. The recipe calls for vanilla extract, which contains alcohol. So, if you want to go alcohol-free, then I suggest getting an alcohol-free vanilla. This recipe yields two drinks, one for yourself and your favorite glow girl. This tasty treat easily converts into an alcoholic beverage by adding vodka. If you’re hosting an event, this recipe also easily converts into a handful of martinis, a great way to make a bottle of mixer go a long way.

Cranberry Relish

  • 3 c. Fresh cranberries or 1 bag frozen & thawed
  • 1 c. Water
  • 1 c. Sugar

  1. Wash and cut the orange into quarters. Use the whole orange, including the peel. If the white pith (white part) around the orange is thick, cut off most of it (it’s very bitter).
  2. Place cranberries, orange, and half the sugar in the processor. Process for 1-2 minutes until ground up.
  3. Taste and add more sugar if needed.
  4. Pour into a serving dish, cover, and refrigerate until ready to use.
