“You Go Girl” Creator & Comic Martin Lawrence Gets Hollywood Star

Wazzuuuup? Martin fans! Finally, Martin Lawrence is getting his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! The comedy legend is being honored for his body of work at a Star Ceremony on April 20.

The NAACP Image Award winner is humbled and excited by the honor. Last year, when Lawrence learned the news, he gave a special video shoutout. “We did it! We did it! All the way from Landover, Md. and Washington DC, all the way to Hollywood. We did it. God bless. God bless.”

This well-deserved recognition is long overdue. The actor-comedian has provided next-level entertainment for years. Fan favorites include his classic 90s sitcom Martin and various standup shows like You So Crazy, Runteldat and Def Comedy Jam.

The multi-talented comedian can also stack on his successful career in movies! The Bad Boys films with Wil Smith, Big Momma’s House, Boomerang, Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins, Life, House Party, Boomerang and more.
